Every messy business has a story the numbers on the surface often don’t tell.
A Business 101 mindset, backed by tech-led insights and hands-on execution, has always helped me dig deep to find the hidden answers. And presenting that clarity as simple stories has been my edge in executive decision-making and building a shared vision.
Through 25+ years in manufacturing, global capability centers, and startups, I have built teams across continents, helped transform and turn around struggling businesses by substantially improving unit economics, developed financial and governance frameworks that work globally, and scaled a venture from scratch (exited successfully).
That same approach anchors my work in developing leadership talent. Having coached 125+ senior leaders, and taught students and executives in India and abroad, I replace dry theory with stories and simulations – helping people challenge assumptions, interpret data, and make practical business decisions.

Scaled the motor-controller startup by building the finance, HR, supply chain and operations backbone from scratch; forged an Indo-Israeli design collaboration, secured a $1M MeitY grant, raised funds, and won marquee clients. Successfully exited the venture.
Bootstrapped an online social marketplace for corporate philanthropy, with managed CSR services; ranked among EO’s Top-3 startups, and showcased at Intech-50. Wound up due to poor timing.
Led the shift from cost-center to P&L ownership, delivered $12M savings in OpEx and CapEx, resolved legacy tax cases, spearheaded SAP implementation, launched the School Adoption program, built a world-class crèche, and secured LEED Platinum certification.
Built teams across seven countries, oversaw a $750M P&L, helped turn around the India center, and enabled $47M savings through global footprint optimization. Later, as VP, Strategy and Planning for HP-GBS, built an integrated program governance model for a 5,000-person global offshoring mandate, widely referred to as ‘One Version of Truth’.
Enabled the first-of-its-kind BPO deal on a Build-Own-Transfer (BOT) model with a UK-based MNC client, and helped raise $10M in private equity funding.
Plugged procurement leakages and recovered INR 30M from a vendor, chaired the PF Trust and Plant TQM Committee, and helped close the CBA with the labor union.
As former Regional Chair of the NASSCOM GCC Forum, helped set the charter to move India’s capability centers from low-cost outsourcing to high-value global hubs through CXO-level collaborations - for best practice sharing and talent development.
Addressed industry forums within India and APAC – on technology disruption, ESG, and changing role of the CFOs; multiple articles and interviews featured in leading publications; also active at several CXO, startup and technology events.
The person behind this
Long before balance sheets and boardrooms, there was a child fascinated by classical music, technology, aesthetics, and the way storytelling could change a room. That curiosity never left, even as the job titles arrived.
A modest, values-led upbringing taught me to learn deeply, make things simpler, and pursue excellence. Those instincts traveled from piano and singing on All India Radio to global CXO leadership, a bootstrapped social impact venture, a motor-controller startup, and eventually into the classroom.
Building teams across APAC, Europe, the US, and Central America taught me the power of listening and the value of diversity. Coaching and mentoring are deeply rewarding, and humbling when people thank me for achieving what once felt beyond their reach. Alongside, Vipassana has helped me see things as they are.
The roles have evolved – not as separate pursuits, but as different expressions of the same journey.
